Job summary

Sala Dining, part of Dedes Waterfront Group, is seeking a Junior Sous Chef in Sydney. You will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of meals, working hands-on with a professional kitchen team while upholding seafood-focused menus and sustainable produce.

Qualifications

• Strong team focus and people management are essential.
• Experience in high volume environments and functions is required.
• Excellent organisation for rostering and ordering processes.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver meals for service periods.
• Hands-on role working with a team of industry professionals.
• Maintain food safety in line with legislation.
• Cross-skill across venues from fine dining to events and casual dining.
• Prepare seafood-focused menus using sustainable produce.
• Cover sections including Pasta, Antipasto, Crudo, fryer and pastry.

Jr Sous Chef

Job Description:

• Responsible for the preparation and delivery of meals
• Hands on role with team of industry professionals in each kitchen
• Follow food safety in accordance to legislation within the kitchen
• Ability to cross skill over our venues from fine dining, events and casual dining offerings
• Seafood focused menus using sustainable and quality produce
• Roles covers all sections of Pasta, Antipasto, Crudo, fryer & pastry
• Full time roles with good hours

Skills Required:

• Strong team focus, and people management skills
• Must be experienced in high volume & functions
• Highly organised and strong on rostering & ordering
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar environment
