Job summary

Mayneline Joinery Pty Ltd in Arundel, Queensland, seeking an experienced Estimator to join our growing team full-time. You will prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for joinery and construction projects, helping secure competitive pricing while protecting margins.

This role requires reading drawings, liaising with suppliers, and updating pricing databases, with emphasis on accuracy, collaboration with clients and project teams, and contributing to continuous improvement of estimating

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator in construction or joinery.
• Strong knowledge of materials, labour costs and project delivery.
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Problem-solving mindset and sound judgement under pressure.
• Knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations.
• Commitment to accuracy, integrity and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and quotations for joinery and construction projects
• Review project drawings, specifications and client requirements to determine scope of work
• Conduct site inspections and measurements to inform accurate estimations
• Analyse material costs, labour requirements and overheads to develop competitive pricing
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain accurate pricing for materials and components
• Maintain and update pricing databases and cost records for future reference
• Communicate effectively with clients, project managers and internal teams regarding estimates and project costs
• Monitor actual project costs against estimates to identify variances and improve future estimating accuracy
• Prepare tender documentation and support the tendering process
• Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and procedures
