Job summary

Mayneline Joinery Pty Ltd is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth across Queensland from Arundel. This full-time role focuses on expanding our residential, commercial and hospitality client base and forging strong relationships with architects, designers and builders.

You will identify opportunities, develop sales strategies, and lead proposals, quotes and presentations to win high-value contracts.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in business development, sales or account management.
• Strong understanding of carpentry, joinery or related manufacturing sectors is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders.

• Strong organisational and time management skills with multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within residential, commercial and hospitality sectors.
• Develop and implement targeted business development strategies to increase market share and revenue growth.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, architects, interior designers, builders and contractors.
• Prepare detailed quotes, proposals and presentations tailored to client requirements and specifications.
• Conduct site visits and consultations to understand client needs and provide expert recommendations.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure client expectations are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to inform business strategy.
• Attend networking events, trade shows and industry functions to build brand awareness and generate leads.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, pipeline opportunities and sales performance metrics.
• Manage tender processes and negotiations to secure high-value contracts.

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join Mayneline Joinery Pty Ltd on a full-time basis, based in Arundel, QLD. This is a strategic position that will be instrumental in driving growth, expanding our client base and establishing Mayneline Joinery as the preferred joinery partner in our region and beyond. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and developing sales strategies that align with our commitment to excellence and innovation in carpentry and cabinet making.

What we’re looking for

• Proven track record in business development, sales or account management, ideally within the trades, construction, carpentry, cabinet making or related manufacturing sectors
• Strong understanding of the carpentry and joinery industry, design principles and manufacturing capabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, develop proposals and close deals
• Self-motivated and results-oriented with a commitment to achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office and digital communication tools
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Queensland for client visits and site meetings
• Professional presentation skills and the ability to represent Mayneline Joinery with integrity and expertise
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think strategically and creatively about business solutions
• Preferred: Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, sales or a related discipline
• Preferred: Experience working with specification environments, architects or design professionals
