Job summary

Four Seasons Commercial Interiors in Williamstown North, VIC, is seeking a Joinery Drafter to support design development, drafting and production documentation for commercial joinery and fit-out projects.

You will collaborate with our Design & Development Supervisor, Project Managers, architects and workshop teams to turn design information into accurate, production-ready documentation, with solid Microvellum experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years hands-on Microvellum experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and joinery drafting.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and specs.
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia; trade qualification preferred.
• Driver Licence and White Card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed joinery drawings, shop drawings and cutting lists.
• Review drawings, specifications, materials and hardware.
• Prepare material take-offs and support production planning.
• Identify design issues and coordinate solutions with stakeholders.
• Liaise with Project Managers, architects, designers, suppliers and workshop teams.
• Support site measurements and set-outs when required.
• Check completed work against drawings and specifications.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and FSCI systems.

Four Seasons Commercial Interiors – Williamstown VIC

For over 25 years, Four Seasons Commercial Interiors (FSCI) has delivered high quality retail, hospitality, workplace and commercial interior projects across Melbourne.

Our integrated business brings design, joinery manufacturing, project management and installation together under one roof, allowing us to maintain greater control over quality, coordination and project outcomes.

We are a close knit team of around 45 people, supported by clear systems, well defined processes and strong leadership.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Joinery Drafter to join our team at our office/factory based in Williamstown North, and support the design development, drafting and production documentation of commercial joinery and construction fit out projects.

You will work closely with our Design & Development Supervisor, Project Managers, architects, designers, suppliers and manufacturing teams to turn design information into accurate, practical and production-ready documentation.

This is a hands-on technical role suited to someone with strong joinery knowledge and proven Microvellum experience.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

In line with the FSCI Joinery Management Process:

• Preparing detailed joinery drawings, shop drawings, set-outs and cutting lists.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, dimensions, materials and hardware.
• Preparing material and hardware take-offs and supporting production planning.
• Identifying design issues and coordinating solutions with relevant stakeholders.
• Liaising with Project Managers, architects, designers, suppliers and workshop teams.
• Supporting site measurements and set-outs when required.
• Checking completed work against drawings and specifications.
• Maintaining accurate project documentation and FSCI systems.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone with a strong background in joinery, shopfitting or commercial fit out who can produce accurate technical documentation and work effectively within a project team.

You will have:

• Minimum 2 years' hands-on Microvellum experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience in joinery drafting and production documentation.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Sound knowledge of joinery construction, materials and hardware.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
• A collaborative and professional approach.
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia. FSCI does not provide visa sponsorship. A trade qualification in Cabinetmaking, Joinery, Shopfitting or a related field is preferred.
• A current Driver Licence and White Card are preferred.
