Job summary

Orora is seeking Job Change Operators to optimise production in the hot end, cold end and QA areas. You will participate in all activities on job change, develop setups, fix defects and ensure quality documentation is maintained.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, ability to work in a hot, noisy environment and strong problem-solving skills. You will collaborate with Hot End, Cold End and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth production flow in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in glass manufacturing preferred.
• Able to work in hot and noisy environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and quality understanding.
• Proactive with improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Participating in all activities on job change in Hot End, Cold End and Audit as required
• Developing sound technical skills in setup and settle down across Hot End IS machine and Cold End inspection machines & Palletiser
• Ensuring high performance on lines by fixing defects, checking sets, follow up and remove CID’s, tuning inspection and timely feedback of issues to the coordinators
• Actively participating in the Job Change development/improvement process
• Ensuring quality standards are met by checking ware and signing quality documentation on Job Change
• Contributing to the QA setup prior to Job Change, including quality gauges, specifications, and poly sprays
• Assist in writing and updating SOP’s and maintaining job change databases
• Follow all safety and environmental protocols
• Working closely with Hot End, cold End and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth production flow

Reporting to the Forming Service Manager, the Job Change Operators will optimise the Job Change performance by performing tasks in the Hot End, Cold End and Quality Assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Participating in all activities on job change in Hot End, Cold End and Audit as required
