Job summary

Dahlsens Building Centres Pty is seeking a Jig Setter to join our Truss & Frame manufacturing team in Cairns, QLD. This key role focuses on setting up and maintaining jig equipment to ensure efficient, accurate production, with opportunities to assist across production areas as needed.

The ideal candidate will have experience in truss manufacturing or timber production, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to read measurements and production plans.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you someone who takes pride in precision, quality, and getting the job done right? We're looking for a Jig Setter to join our Truss & Frame manufacturing team.

This is a key role within our operation, with responsibility for setting up and maintaining truss jigs to ensure production runs efficiently and accurately. While you'll be our go-to expert in jig setting, you'll also work across all areas of production, supporting the wider team wherever needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Jig Setter, you will play a vital role in ensuring production quality and efficiency by preparing and adjusting jigs to meet manufacturing requirements.

• Setting up truss jigs to production specifications
• Reading and interpreting production drawings and layouts
• Ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the manufacturing process
• Troubleshooting and resolving setup issues
• Assisting with truss and frame production as required
• Supporting workflow across all areas of the plant
• Maintaining a safe and organised work environment
