Job summary

Leidos Australia seeks a Java Technical Lead - Health Integration to design, build and support healthcare interfaces using HL7 v2, FHIR and CDA, delivering secure, interoperable data across enterprise systems.

You will lead Java-based integration patterns via SOAP/REST, deploy with Apache Camel and Kafka, and drive CI/CD within DevOps/GitOps in cloud-native environments. Australian citizenship and Baseline clearance are required.

Your New Role and Responsibilities

The Java Technical Lead - Health Integration designs, builds and supports integration services that connect healthcare and enterprise systems. This role delivers secure, reliable interfaces and APIs using healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 v2 and FHIR. Working closely with delivery teams, client stakeholders and vendors, you will support integrations across environments and lead complex data transformation and validation to ensure high-quality, interoperable healthcare data.

About You and What You'll Bring

Extensive experience designing and delivering healthcare integration solutions using industry interoperability standards. Expert-level Java engineering capability across enterprise integration frameworks and technologies. Strong hands-on experience with Apache Camel and Apache Kafka in large-scale environments. Proven leadership in Agile/Scrum teams, with a focus on mentoring, continuous improvement and high-quality delivery. Broad experience in testing practices including unit, integration, API and performance testing using JUnit, Bruno and Apache JMeter. This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and be able to gain a Baseline level security clearance.
