Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to join our Matrix Engineering Team. You will architect and deploy secure, scalable cloud environments across Defence, Intelligence and Federal Government portfolios.

You’ll manage AWS, Azure and Google Cloud deployments, plan migrations from on-prem to cloud, and automate with Terraform, Ansible and CloudFormation, while enforcing robust security practices. An Australian citizen with NV-1 AGVSA clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms.
• Proficient with Terraform, Ansible and CloudFormation for deployments.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerised apps.
• Strong scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell; Java or Go are a plus.
• Familiar with cloud security, VPCs, VPNs, load balancers and compliance.

• Implement robust security measures, monitor compliance, and collaborate with cybersecurity teams to protect cloud environments.

What You’ll Bring to Make an Impact

• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, and IAM.
• Expertise in tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation for automated deployments and configuration management.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and managing containerised applications in cloud environments.
• Strong skills in Python, Bash, and PowerShell for automation, plus familiarity with languages like Java or Go for cloud-native development.
• Understanding of cloud security best practices, VPC design, VPNs, load balancers, and compliance frameworks.
