Job summary

Harvey Norman is hiring for an onsite Application Developer in Homebush West, Sydney. You will join a collaborative team delivering robust, accessible applications on Azure cloud and in our data centre.

You’ll work in a cross-functional Agile setup to plan and develop Java, Spring Boot based apps, upgrade J2EE components, and enhance CI/CD pipelines while upholding coding standards.

Qualifications

• Full stack development experience with Java/J2EE and modern frameworks.
• Experience building front-end with React/TypeScript and state management.
• Proficiency in Azure serverless architectures and Docker containers.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and coding standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop Java/Spring Boot based applications in an Agile cross-functional team.
• Build and upgrade J2EE based applications (EJB/JMS/JPA).
• Develop Azure Cloud event-driven serverless apps and container environments.
• Drive CI/CD improvements and ensure code quality and standards.

About the role

Joining the Harvey Norman application development team based onsite in Homebush West, you'll collaborate closely with a highly engaged team. Your focus will be on building and maintaining robust, accessible, and user-friendly applications for our in-house applications on the Azure cloud and data centre platform.

Responsibilities include.

• Working in a cross-functional Agile team, engaging closely with business stakeholders, to plan and develop Java, Spring Boot based applications
• Developing Azure Cloud event driven serverless application using logic and function apps, container environments such as Docker.
• Developing and upgrading J2EE ( EJB, JMS, JPA) based applications.
• Driving improvements to our CI/CD pipeline, embedding quality into our software, and ensuring strict adherence to processes and coding standards.

About you

You will have full stack development experience and be skilled in building applications using Java, J2EE( EJB, JMS, JPA), Spring Boot, React, React Hooks & State Management, Typescript , Azure serverless . You'll thrive on the challenge of creating scalable, high-performing, and innovative applications using modern technologies.

• You will also have:
• Experience with J2EE based applications using JBoss, Wildly
• Experience with SQL and No SQL database design and development.
• Experience working with Linux based application platform
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, enabling effective teamwork with backend, middleware, testing, and support teams.
