Job description

As a Java Developer reporting to Director – Software Engineering, you'll take end-to-end ownership of meaningful technical challenges — from understanding requirements to shipping production-ready solutions. You'll work across backend systems, security, and cross-platform development, contributing to both new builds and the evolution of existing products. You'll thrive here if you're self-directed, curious, and energized by solving complex problems that have real impact on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions that meet or exceed product and client requirements
  • Build and maintain security-focused applications of increasing scope and complexity
  • Extend and improve existing systems — adding functionality, enhancing performance, and adapting to new environments
  • Ensure cross-platform compatibility across all deliverables
  • Monitor system improvements post-deployment and iterate based on performance outcomes
  • Contribute to architecture, database design, and technical direction as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 3 years strong, hands‑on Java development skills with a solid understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms
  • Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases — including design, analysis, and querying
  • Proven experience with continuous integration and deployment practices
  • Demonstrated ability to write secure, testable, and maintainable code
  • Experience with cross‑platform or multi‑environment development
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Experience with data warehousing or large‑scale data systems
  • Background or interest in application security best practices

This position will be located in Sydney, Australia and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 2 days a week in‑office (may increase to 3 days in the future).
