Nasdaq in Sydney seeks a Core Java Developer to design, develop, and implement software for the Eqlipse trading platform. You will collaborate with global teams to deliver high-quality solutions across APAC and support existing clients.

The role requires strong Java/Maven/Git skills, Linux knowledge, and business-level English. You will operate in a hybrid environment with flexibility for global time zones and contribute to reliable, well-architected software alongside Nasdaq’s engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience in software engineering using Java, Maven, and Git.
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
• Business-level English proficiency - able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in a professional environment.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with flexibility to collaborate across global time zones as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement software for the Eqlipse trading platform.
• Support APAC clients, ensuring reliability, performance, and quality.
• Collaborate with Sydney and Nasdaq's global teams to align objectives and deliverables.
• Maintain and improve code quality, structure, and standards.
• Coordinate across time zones with overseas teams, with occasional flexibility outside core hours.
