Job summary

Ventia seeks a Project Engineer – Maintenance to support the safe, efficient delivery of ITS maintenance works across Victoria's live traffic environments. You will coordinate fault resolution, asset replacements, testing and commissioning, and ensure quality and contractual compliance.

Working with engineers, supervisors, field crews, subcontractors and clients, you will prepare technical documentation, monitor progress, and contribute to safe, reliable operation of traffic signals and ITS

Qualifications

Qualification in Electrical, Civil, Communications, or Systems Engineering.
3+ years' engineering, construction, maintenance, or infrastructure delivery experience.
Exposure to ITS, traffic signals, electrical, communications, or road infrastructure is valued.
Understanding of project delivery, testing, commissioning, QA, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering support for maintenance, fault resolution, asset replacements, minor works, investigations, and root cause analysis.
Coordinate delivery from planning to testing, commissioning, handover and close-out with proper resourcing.
Champion safety and compliance with risk assessments, permits, site inspections, and incident investigations.
Manage stakeholders and resources by coordinating subcontractors, materials, permits, and inputs from teams.
Support commercial outcomes through estimating and pricing, variations, cost tracking, and contract reporting.
Drive quality assurance and standards via inspections, testing, commissioning, defect management, and documentation.
