Job summary

Sri Lakshmi Pty Ltd, trading as Presto Pasta & Pizza Cobram, is seeking a driven cook to join our kitchen team and uphold high culinary standards.

You will prepare a variety of meals, maintain safety and hygiene, train junior staff, and help ensure reliable service that keeps guests coming back. This full-time, on-site role in Cobram offers 38 hours per week with a competitive salary range listed in the job description. Location: Cobram, Victoria.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, safety, and hygiene.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a busy environment.
• Team player with reliability and a strong work ethic.
• Relevant cookery qualifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to kitchen procedures.
• Portion and arrange dishes, applying sauces and garnishes.
• Inspect ingredients to ensure freshness and quality.
• Maintain proper refrigeration and storage temperatures.
• Organise daily food preparation activities and estimate quantities.
• Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
• Prepare meals accommodating dietary needs.
• Provide guidance and training to junior kitchen staff.
