Job summary

MEGT, in partnership with Unisys, offers a First Nations IT Traineeship. The program provides hands-on IT experience while completing a Certificate IV in Information Technology. You will work on real projects for Unisys government clients, gaining practical skills in a supportive environment.

The traineeship is full-time and paid, with mentoring and career pathways in the IT sector. Applicants must be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and able to obtain a National Police Clearance.

Qualifications

• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Identified role – only applications from Indigenous people will be considered.
• Certificate IV in Information Technology to be completed as part of traineeship.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with day-to-day IT issues at their desk or on site.
• Fix basic computer hardware, software and network problems.
• Set up, move and configure IT equipment such as computers and monitors.
• Support users with IT needs in a friendly manner.
• Document and update records for IT equipment and assets.
• Contribute to a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Information Technology during traineeship.

Your Duties
