Job summary

DP World is seeking an IT end-user support specialist based at the Port Botany Terminal. You will be the go-to person for configuring laptops, troubleshooting software hiccups, and keeping hardware humming while collaborating with the wider IT team.

You will work within ITIL-aligned processes, manage incidents and changes, participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation, and help ensure services meet regional SLAs across the terminal environment.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on IT support across Windows-based environments.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and device SOE/MOE builds.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes: Incident, Change, Problem, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to automate repetitive tasks and scripts.
  • Experience supporting 24x7 on-call operations.

Responsibilities

  • Keep IT systems and devices running per regional IT processes and SLAs.
  • Follow approved system administration practices and IT policy.
  • Support ITSM areas including Change Management.
  • Lead high-priority incidents; own lower-priority incidents end-to-end.
  • Investigate escalated issues and resolve within SLA.
  • Participate in 24x7 after-hours rotation for critical incidents.

Job description

DP World is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys solving IT problems and keeping people up and running. You will be the go-to person for end-user technology supporting, troubleshooting, and managing the devices and systems our people rely on daily, from configuring laptops to sorting software hiccups to keeping hardware humming along. You will work closely with the wider IT team to bring end-user systems and solutions to life. This role is based at our Port Botany Terminal.

Key Accountabilities -
  • Keeping things running in line with Regional IT's processes, SLAs, and standards
  • Following approved system administration practices and global/regional IT policy
  • Supporting ITSM areas including the Change Management process
  • Managing high-priority incidents when something goes down at the Terminal, plus owning lower-priority incidents end to end
  • Investigating escalated issues and resolving them within SLA
  • Joining a 24x7 after-hours rotation for critical incidents, sometimes a phone call, sometimes heading to the terminal in person
Qualifications, Skills and Experience -
  • At least a year in an EUC support role; logistics/supply chain exposure a bonus
  • Solid desktop and infrastructure support experience with real troubleshooting chops
  • A knack for automating repetitive tasks
  • Experience supporting teams that need 24x7 backup, with an engineering-minded approach to business IT
  • Comfort in an ITIL-aligned environment (Incident, Change, Problem, continuous improvement)
  • Willingness to occasionally work at heights supporting Mobile Computer Terminals
  • Strong people skills across all levels of the business
  • Hands-on experience with Windows, Active Directory, Office 365, SOE/MOE builds, desktop apps/smartphones/iPads, and remote access tools (ManageEngine)
  • Confidence with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools; PowerShell/scripting a plus
  • A "Shift Left" mindset for smoother, more self-sufficient BAU support
