Job summary

Lifebyte Systems in Sydney, NSW, seeks an IT Systems Technician Lead to drive reliable, secure internal IT services. You will lead a team, own operational standards, and oversee Microsoft 365, Intune, Jira/JSM, Confluence, and identity governance.

Responsibilities include incident & change leadership, service delivery, security controls, and continuous improvements through automation and documentation. This role demands hands-on leadership and deep technical depth across SaaS and endpoint

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of IT systems administration with leadership experience.
Advanced admin & troubleshooting of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, security groups, licences, CA, audit logs).
Hands-on experience with Intune and Windows Autopilot (endpoint config, compliance, deployment, patching, remote support).
Strong admin experience with Jira, Jira Service Management, Jira Assets and Confluence (workflows, permissions, SLA, automation).

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor IT Systems Technicians; set priorities and standards.
Own day-to-day service delivery across incidents, requests, changes; manage queues and SLAs.
Coordinate major incidents, root-cause analysis, and changes with rollback plans.
Oversee Microsoft 365 & endpoint platform leadership (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
Own Jira/JSM/Confluence administration, governance, and automation.
Manage identity and access governance across SaaS estate (Azure AD, Entra ID, SSO, MFA).
Maintain security controls, logs, and audit evidence for audits.
Document runbooks and knowledge content in Confluence.
