Job summary

Farquhar Group in Australia is seeking a Technology Support Officer in Cumberland Park to provide end-to-end IT support, resolve Level 1-3 incidents, maintain systems, and ensure secure daily operations for staff.

Reporting to the IT Manager, you will troubleshoot hardware, software, and networks, set up devices, manage access requests, and help staff use technology effectively while upholding a culture of care and excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS or Business Systems is desirable.
• Experience supporting MacOS, Windows, and Microsoft Servers.
• Strong hardware, software, and basic network troubleshooting skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity principles and data management.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Current C Class Driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Be the first IT contact, handling Level 1–3 hardware, software, networks, printing, and mobile device issues.
• Set up and configure hardware (Windows/MacOS) and maintain hardware inventory.
• Manage access requests, password resets, MFA and SSO; escalate security risks.
• Coordinate with external vendors for escalations, repairs, and quotes.
• Create troubleshooting guides and provide practical staff training.
• Identify recurring issues and work with IT Manager to improve reliability.
