Job summary

Alliance Airlines is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to be the first point of contact for the IT team, delivering Level 1–3 technical support across the business. You’ll support Windows and iOS devices, MS 365, Exchange Online and hybrid environments, remotely or on-site in Nundah.

In a small team, you’ll troubleshoot incidents, manage device deployments, patching and asset lifecycle, while contributing to secure, reliable IT systems. Occasional travel and on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT support in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and iOS devices and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with IT service management and device management platforms.
• Familiarity with Exchange Online, Entra ID/AD, DNS and DHCP.
• IT certifications such as ITIL or CompTIA are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As an IT Support Engineer, you’ll be the first point of contact for the IT team, providing responsive Level 1–2.5 technical support across the business. You’ll support a broad range of operating systems, applications and end-user devices, both remotely and face‑to‑face.

You’ll troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, manage device deployments, patching, asset management and application support, while helping maintain reliable and secure IT systems across the business.

Working within a small team, you’ll need to be adaptable, proactive and comfortable working independently. The role may involve occasional travel and participation in an on‑call roster to provide out‑of‑hours support.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Provide prompt and friendly level 1-3 technical & service desk support for all systems and equipment either in a remote or face to face capacity.
• Strive for fix on first contact approach for all contact made to the IT Service Desk
• Consistently provide up to date service notes during the life cycle of a ticket with a strong emphasis of prioritisation and ticket management to the best of your skills and abilities.
• Provide strong service orientation actively seeking out improvements, new ideas or solutions for issues that may arise
• Build and sustain positive relationships with team members ensuring that strictest privacy and confidentiality are upheld.
• Manage full onboarding and offboarding of user accounts and equipment lifecycle management.
• Maintenance and support of desktop systems and applications.
• Administer and troubleshoot hybrid on-prem Exchange/O365 with Azure AD sync and other cloud platforms
• Contribute to the design and automation of IT processes utilising a range of tools including PowerShell
• Perform troubleshooting using different diagnostic techniques and assist with design and implementation of changes or improvements in a windows domain network, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, and Active Directory.
• Resolve technical problems with local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN) and other networking services.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and/or software issues
• Redirect unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel within SLAs

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for an experienced IT professional with at least five years’ experience in a comparable IT Support role, ideally within a fast‑paced operational environment. You’ll have strong technical knowledge across hardware, peripherals, telephony, video conferencing, Windows and iOS devices, as well as Microsoft 365 technologies.

You’ll bring experience across IT service management and device management platforms, with knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online, Entra ID/Active Directory, DNS and DHCP. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify practical solutions are essential.

As a strong communicator and self‑starter, you’ll be comfortable working independently, including remotely from the broader team, while maintaining a reliable and proactive approach. You’ll be able to adapt to shifting priorities, work effectively under pressure and take ownership to deliver results.

Relevant IT certifications such as ITIL or CompTIA are highly regarded, with Microsoft certifications across Azure, Microsoft 365 or related technologies considered desirable.
