Job summary

Darebin City Council is seeking an experienced leader to drive the Information and Digital Services project portfolio from concept through delivery. You will oversee complex technology initiatives, manage procurement and vendor relationships, and provide strategic guidance on emerging technologies to support the council's Digital Strategy and resilience programs.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading technology projects and portfolios.
• Strong knowledge of project governance, portfolio management, budgeting, risk management and reporting.
• Proven experience in technology procurement, vendor management and contract administration.
• Experience establishing and improving PM frameworks and delivery methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, prioritisation, governance and delivery of Council's Information and Digital Services project portfolio.
• Oversee technology projects from concept to implementation, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Lead procurement and contract management activities and vendor relationships.
• Provide strategic advice on emerging technologies and investment decisions.
• Foster accountability, continuous improvement and customer-focused service delivery.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants and technology partners.
• Lead and develop the IT Project Services team.
• Facilitate project assessment, prioritisation and governance processes.
