Job summary

Central Highlands Regional Council in Emerald, QLD is seeking an IT Project Officer to support the IT Infrastructure team with asset replacement and technology upgrade projects, delivering outcomes on time and to budget. You will coordinate CCTV installations, manage stakeholders, ensure compliance, and help implement the CCTV capital works program while maintaining service levels for the community.

Qualifications

• Competent in a wide range of Microsoft programs.
• Excellent communication, oral and written.
• Time management, ability to organise and prioritise to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated experience in customer service and customer communication.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage project elements.
• Minimum Queensland C class provisional driver licence.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute CCTV installations in partnership with CCTV providers, ensuring works meet quality standards.
• Identify and resolve issues promptly, coordinating with internal teams and service providers to minimise service impacts.
• Provide end-to-end oversight, managing all aspects of CCTV installations and maintenance projects, including resources, scheduling, risk, and stakeholder coordination.
• Collaborate with IT Infrastructure and project teams to deliver milestones and outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and compliance during installation and maintenance.
• Assist investigations by providing relevant surveillance footage as directed by authorised personnel.
• Help establish relationships with ICT vendors and manage contracts, performance and risks.
