Job summary

Virgin Australia is seeking a Program Manager to lead complex IT Operations programs within our IT Project Delivery Framework. You will oversee scope, budget, schedule and RAIDD, ensuring resources and governance are aligned for successful outcomes across multiple teams and partners.

Bring tertiary qualifications in Project/IT or Business Management, strong budgeting and stakeholder engagement skills, and experience across Agile and waterfall delivery.

Qualifications

• Hold tertiary qualifications in Project, IT or Business Management.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling experience.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, including executives.
• Influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Communicate risks, issues and resolutions using data and reporting insights.
• Demonstrate leadership, organisation and time management skills.
• Collaborate with stakeholders with a flexible approach.
• Maintain integrity and handle confidential information.
• Apply critical thinking to interpret data and support decisions.
• Identify risks and drive collaborative solutions.
• Use data to enable fact-based decisions and continuous improvement.
• Understand financial governance, controls and performance management processes.
• Experience with project and change management methodologies (Agile & waterfall).
• Comfortable across technology environments, SDLC and implementation programs.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, DevSecOps, MS Project, and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex IT Operations programs within the IT Project Delivery Framework.
• Oversee program scope, budget, schedule and RAIDD with proper governance.
• Ensure resources are in place and governance frameworks are maintained.
• Partner with sponsors and cross-functional stakeholders to align on outcomes.
• Drive organizational change management to ensure adoption of program results.
