Job summary

Safe Transport Victoria (ST Vic) seeks a Manager IT Operations to lead IT services and governance, reporting to the CIO. You will shape the IT strategy, oversee a cross‑functional team and ensure compliant, reliable IT delivery across programs, business systems and technology.

You will translate business needs into IT solutions, manage risk, and partner with stakeholders to optimise service delivery and drive innovation in a dynamic public sector environment.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in IT, CS, business admin or related field.
• Experience leading IT teams in a complex organisation.
• Public sector experience preferred.
• SAFe, Agile, Scrum or PRINCE2 certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead ST Vic’s IT operations, governance and risk management.
• Develop and deliver the IT strategy, roadmap and governance model.
• Provide leadership to IT Programs, Business Systems and Technology teams.
• Drive service delivery improvements and risk remediation.
• Foster collaboration with internal and external partners.
