Job summary

Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA) is seeking a Senior Manager, IT Operations & Infrastructure to provide strategic leadership across the enterprise technology environment in Melbourne. This role focuses on Microsoft 365, document and records management, and workplace technology services including desktop and AV.

The role reports to the Director, IT Service Operations and leads multidisciplinary teams and external providers to design, operate and continuously improve enterprise

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience providing strategic technical leadership across complex enterprise technology environments.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 technologies, including SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, identity, collaboration and governance.
• Strong experience with electronic document and records management platforms, including architecture, integration, governance, security and operation.
• Leadership of business technology services, including desktop and end-user computing, device and application services, meeting-room technology and enterprise AV services.
• Ability to develop technical strategies, roadmaps, service architectures and sustainable operating models aligned with priorities.
• Capability to assess complex proposals, challenge designs, manage risk and advise executives.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and external service providers with governance and continuous improvement focus.
• Strong commercial, stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills across executives, leaders, specialists and vendors.
• Customer-focused, delivery-oriented approach with sound judgement for competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic technical direction across VIDA's enterprise technology environment.
• Lead the design, operation, integration and continuous improvement of platforms and workplace tech services.
• Set roadmaps and governance for secure and reliable Microsoft 365 and related services.
• Collaborate with executives, vendors and project offices to translate needs into practical tech roadmaps.
• Oversee risk management and transition new capabilities into operations.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and external providers to deliver high-quality services.
