Job summary

Sea Swift, Northern Australia\'s leading shipping company, seeks an IT Manager in Cairns to oversee infrastructure, networks and applications, partner with MSPs, and drive technology improvements. You will manage budgeting, governance and security, ensuring reliable services across remote operations.

Reporting to the Head of Project Management Office, you will provide strategic technology recommendations and strengthen cyber security controls while enabling business growth and operational

Qualifications

• Five or more years' experience in IT management.
• Strong knowledge across infrastructure, systems administration, networking and business applications.
• Experience withManaged Service Providers and outsourced technology partners, including vendor management, service performance oversight and service level management.
• Proven ability to manage technology services as a business function, including budgeting, procurement, governance and continuous improvement.
• Experience managing cyber security risks, controls and compliance obligations.
• Strong business communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience developing business cases and executive reports.

Responsibilities

• Manage the relationship with our Managed Service Provider and ensure contractual obligations and service levels are achieved.
• Oversee the organisation's technology infrastructure, including networks, systems and services.
• Monitor and manage IT performance, availability and service delivery.
• Plan and implement new technologies and system enhancements.
• Coordinate IT services including helpdesk and support functions.
• Manage software licensing and ICT asset inventory.
• Monitor and manage cyber security risks, vulnerabilities and security incidents across the technology environment.
• Manage the annual ICT budget and expenditure.
• Provide strategic advice on technology investments, risks and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain ICT policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
• Monitor emerging technologies and identify opportunities to strengthen business performance and competitive advantage.
