Job summary

Harmony Auto Australia is seeking an experienced IT Manager/Head of IT to own our Australian IT environment and build a secure, scalable technology platform for the business. You will lead day-to-day operations across multiple sites and partner with HQ teams.

Reporting to the Country Rep, you will oversee outsourced IT providers, drive the Australian IT roadmap, strengthen cybersecurity, governance, and risk management, and coordinate with China/HQ teams on vehicle and EV platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years IT experience with management or senior operations.
• Experience across multi-site organisation.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure, cloud, networks, and Microsoft 365.
• Strong cybersecurity and IT risk understanding.
• Experience managing outsourced IT providers.
• Experience with international teams.
• Automotive, EV, OEM or multi-site industry experience preferred.
• Mandarin language desirable but not essential.

Harmony Auto Australia is growing rapidly across the Australian new energy vehicle market, with an expanding network of dealerships, service operations and corporate functions.

We are looking for an experienced IT Manager/Head of IT to take ownership of our Australian IT environment and help build a secure, reliable and scalable technology platform for the business.

Reporting directly to the Country Rep, you will work across Australian operations while partnering closely with our China/HQ IT teams, local technology providers and OEM technology teams.

What you'll be responsible for

Lead day-to-day IT operations across our multi-site Australian business.

Manage outsourced IT providers and technology vendors.

Develop and implement the Australian IT roadmap.

Strengthen cybersecurity, IT governance and technology risk management.

Support corporate, dealership, warehouse and service centre technology.

Lead IT projects, system implementations and new-site technology requirements.

Manage business applications including CRM, DMS and other key systems.

Coordinate IT issues and projects with China/HQ technology teams.

Work with OEM teams on technology issues involving connected vehicles, EV technology and related platforms.

What we're looking for

You will ideally have:

8+ years' IT experience with previous IT management or senior IT operations experience.

Experience managing IT across a multi-site organisation.

Strong knowledge of infrastructure, cloud, networks, Microsoft 365 and endpoint environments.

Strong understanding of cybersecurity and IT risk.

Experience managing outsourced IT providers and vendors.

Strong project and stakeholder management skills.

Experience working with international or offshore technology teams.

Automotive, EV, OEM, dealership or other multi-site industry experience will be highly regarded.

Experience working with Chinese-based organisations or technology teams is advantageous, and Mandarin language skills are desirable but not essential.

This is more than a traditional IT Manager role.

You will have the opportunity to shape the Australian IT environment of a growing automotive and EV business, work directly with international and OEM technology teams, and help establish the technology foundations for future growth.
