Job summary

Green Light Australia partners with a leading global company to hire an IT Infrastructure Project Manager for a 6-month contract in Melbourne. You will oversee end-to-end delivery, governance, and financials, coordinating with clients, vendors and internal teams in a hybrid Melbourne CBD environment.

The role requires experience in large, complex IT infrastructure projects, cloud/datacentre work, and a current baseline security clearance (NV1/NV2 or higher).

Qualifications

• Experience as IT Infrastructure Project Manager in large, complex environments.
• Experience on infrastructure, cloud and datacentre projects.
• Current/valid baseline security clearance (NV1/NV2) or higher.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects from initiation to closure.
• Create and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and governance docs.
• Manage project financials: budgets, forecasting, reporting, invoicing, cost control.
• Serve as single point of contact for clients and stakeholders; provide status updates.
• Coordinate internal teams, vendors and third-party suppliers for delivery.
• Manage scope, changes, risks, assumptions, dependencies and issues.
• Drive stakeholder engagement across business and technical teams for alignment.

Green Light Australia are partnering up with a leading global company to engage an IT Infrastructure Project Manager on a 6-month contract.

Key Details

• 6-month initial contract until end of March 2027 (possible extension)
• Leading company in its field
• Melbourne cbd (hybrid work environment)

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects from initiation through to closure.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and project governance documentation.
• Monitor project financials, including budget management, forecasting, reporting, invoicing, and cost control.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular status updates and managing expectations.
• Coordinate internal technical teams, vendors, and third-party suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Manage project scope, change requests, risks, assumptions, dependencies, and issues.
• Drive stakeholder engagement across business and technical teams to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.

Requirements

• Good experience as an IT Infrastructure Project Manager for large complex environments
• Good experience working on infrastructure, cloud and datacentre projects
• Possess a current/valid baseline security clearance or higher (i.e. NV1, NV2)
• Strong ability to work with customers SOW and dealing with escalations
• Excellent communication skills and presentations skills
• Strong ability to motivate project teams
