Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a qualified Irrigation Technician to join our depot in Essendon Fields. The role involves pricing and delivering irrigation projects for Melbourne's high-profile sites, with a focus on quality and budget alignment.

You will install, program, maintain and repair systems, read plans, and communicate with clients. A Certificate III in Irrigation Technology and a current driver’s licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Irrigation Technology is required.
• Hands-on experience installing, servicing and repairing irrigation systems.
• Current driver’s license is mandatory.
• Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to read and interpret irrigation drawings and plans.
• Proactive mindset and commitment to high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, maintain, and repair irrigation systems.
• Interpret irrigation plans and drawings.
• Price and quote small to medium projects.
• Conduct regular audits and implement irrigation programs.
• Diagnose faults and carry out timely repairs.
• Maintain accurate records and provide system reports.

About Role

Green by Nature is seeking a dedicated and qualified Irrigation Technician to join our team. If you thrive on variety, have a keen eye for detail, and are passionate about sustainable outdoor environments – this could be the role for you!

While working on some of Melbourne's high-profile Sports and commercial sites, you will be responsible for pricing and working on Irrigation projects, communicating with both internal and external clients and ensuring jobs are carried out successfully and aligned to budget.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, maintain, and repair irrigation systems
• Interpret and work from irrigation plans and drawings
• Price and Quote small to medium sized projects
• Conduct regular audits and implement irrigation programs
• Diagnose faults and carry out timely repairs
• Maintain accurate records and provide system reports
• Ensure systems are event-ready through pre- and post-irrigation audits
• Work collaboratively within a professional, safety-first team
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with industry best practices, WHS regulations, and company quality systems.

About You

• Certificate III Irrigation Technology
• Proven hands-on experience installing, servicing and repairing irrigation systems,
• Must have a current driver's licence
• Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
• Your ability to read and interpret irrigation drawings and plans
• You have a proactive mindset and unwavering commitment to high-quality work
