Job summary

Local Workforce Hire is seeking General Labourers or Trade Assistants for ongoing casual work with Australia’s best employers. Immediate start, reliable transport and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks are essential.

You’ll work across landscaping, construction, warehouse fit-outs and other site activities, performing tasks from site prep to assisting trades and site clean-ups. Weekly pay and ongoing opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant.
• Construction White Card is required.
• A current Driver Licence and reliable transport are highly preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work and maintain safety.
• Strong work ethic, reliability and punctuality.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

Every day is different, with opportunities to work across a variety of industries including:

• Commercial and residential landscaping
• Residential and commercial construction
• Warehouse fit-outs and pallet racking installations
• Shopfitting and carpentry projects
• Demolition and strip-out work
• General labouring across manufacturing and industrial sites
• Container unloading
• Site clean-ups and final cleans
• General manual handling duties

Typical tasks include:

• Site preparation and clean-up
• Wheelbarrowing materials
• Digging and trenching
• Lifting and carrying materials
• Packing and stacking
• Assembling products
• Assisting qualified tradespeople
• General labouring duties as required

What We’re Looking For

To join our team you must have:

• Minimum 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant
• Construction White Card

• Reliability and punctuality

PPE Requirements

You must supply your own PPE, including:

• Steel-capped boots
• Hard hat
• Safety glasses
• Work gloves
• High-visibility clothing
