Job summary

Local Workforce Hire is seeking General Labourers and Casual Trade Assistants for immediate start across Brisbane and surrounds. Earn $35.11 per hour with 11.5% super and a $22 daily travel allowance, plus weekly pay every Thursday.

We provide ongoing casual assignments with the possibility of permanent roles. You’ll work across various sites including landscaping, construction, warehouse fit-outs and shopfitting, supporting qualified tradespeople and handling general labour tasks with

Qualifications

• 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant.
• Construction White Card is required.
• A current Driver Licence and reliable transport (highly preferred).
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Assist across commercial and residential landscaping, construction, warehouse fit-outs and shopfitting projects.
• Carry out general labouring tasks such as site prep, material handling, digging and trenching.
• Assist qualified tradespeople and support on site.
• Maintain safety and PPE requirements on all sites.

What You'll Be Doing

• Warehouse fit-outs and pallet racking installations
• Shopfitting and carpentry projects
• Demolition and strip-out work
• General labouring across manufacturing and industrial sites
• Container unloading
• Site clean-ups and final cleans
• General manual handling duties

Typical tasks include:

• Site preparation and clean-up
• Wheelbarrowing materials
• Digging and trenching
• Lifting and carrying materials
• Packing and stacking
• Assembling products
• Assisting qualified tradespeople
• General labouring duties as required

What We're Looking For

To join our team you must have:

• Minimum 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant
• Construction White Card
• A current Driver Licence and reliable transport (highly preferred)
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Reliability and punctuality

PPE Requirements

You must supply your own PPE, including:

• Steel-capped boots
• Hard hat
• Safety glasses
• Work gloves
• High-visibility clothing
