Job summary

Vocus, Australia’s specialist fibre and network solutions provider, is seeking an IP Engineer to monitor, operate and support critical IP network infrastructure within our Operational Command Centre in Melbourne.

You will ensure availability, performance and service restoration in a 24x7 environment, using network management tools, incident handling and change support. Australian citizenship for NV1 clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Network Operations, Service Assurance, IP Engineering, or Network Support.
• Experience in carrier, wholesale, managed services, or critical infrastructure.
• Experience supporting MPLS, Carrier Ethernet, or SD-WAN services.
• Australian Citizenship for NV1 clearance; eligible for NV1 clearance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support IP network infrastructure and services.
• Maintain network availability, performance, capacity, and resilience.
• Investigate and troubleshoot IP network faults and incidents.
• Lead restoration activities and validate service recovery.
• Support changes, maintenance, and documentation.
• Provide technical and stakeholder updates during incidents.
