Job summary
Vocus Group in Victoria is seeking a Voice Engineer to monitor, operate and support critical voice infrastructure within the Operational Command Centre, ensuring availability, performance and resilience of voice services in a 24x7 environment.
You will work with Engineering, Customer Operations and Carriers to manage incidents, conduct fault diagnosis, participate in change activities, and deliver reliable telecommunications services, with Australian NV1 clearance eligibility.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in IT, telecommunications, engineering, or related discipline.
- 3+ years’ experience in voice operations, service assurance, or telecom support.
- Exposure to SIP, VoIP and PSTN technologies; working in a 24x7 environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and support voice infrastructure and services.
- Maintain service availability, performance, capacity, and resilience.
- Investigate and troubleshoot voice service faults and incidents.
- Coordinate with customers, carriers, and field teams during outages.
- Contribute to post-incident reviews and documentation.
