Job summary
GWA Group is seeking an IoT Developer to join our Platform and IoT team at Prestons, NSW. You’ll work across Azure IoT, Raspberry Pi, and gateway firmware to advance our Smart Command platform.
This hands-on role focuses on knowledge transfer from our partner, then owning firmware, security and ongoing support for CT-200 and Raspberry Pi gateways. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to build in-house IoT capability.
Qualifications
- Three years of software or IoT development experience.
- Experience with connected devices, firmware and device-based technology.
- Exposure to Azure IoT or a similar cloud IoT platform.
- Experience with Raspberry Pi or comparable gateway hardware.
- Knowledge of IoT sensors, Bluetooth or related protocols.
- Experience testing software, firmware or connected devices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support Azure IoT solutions across connected devices, gateways and cloud platforms.
- Work with CT‑200 and Raspberry Pi‑based gateway platforms.
- Improve gateway firmware, performance and security.
- Test firmware, connected devices and new Smart Command fixtures.
- Support existing CT‑200 customers with bug fixes and compatibility updates.
- Contribute to future gateway development and replacement.
- Work with internal teams and external technology partners.
- Help build GWA’s in‑house IoT capability.
