The University of Sydney seeks a Software Engineer to contribute to cutting-edge wireless and IoT research. You will develop firmware and drivers for WiFi and IoT devices using STM32/ESP32, and create robust software in C/C++ and Python.

You will work with researchers and industry partners to deliver project milestones in RTOS and embedded Linux environments. This is a full-time, on-site position at the Camperdown campus, with opportunities to lead architecture decisions and mentor junior

Qualifikationen

• Degree in software/ computer/ electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated embedded software and firmware development experience.
• Experience with WiFi, networked or IoT-enabled systems.
• Strong C/C++ and Python programming skills.
• Experience with RTOS and embedded Linux environments.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Aufgaben

• Develop embedded firmware and drivers for WiFi and IoT devices (STM32/ESP32).
• Design, implement, test and optimise software applications in C/C++ and Python.
• Build real-time applications in RTOS and embedded Linux environments.
• Test, debug, validate, and integrate software with hardware and IoT systems.
• Collaborate with researchers and industry partners to meet milestones.
• Produce technical documentation and software artefacts.
