Job summary

Hydrogen Group is seeking an Investment Analyst for a Sydney-based day-rate contract. You will operate as an investment generalist, moving between investment analysis, data, reporting and business processes to support the investment function.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across Investments, Data and Technology, applying SQL and data platform experience to deliver practical insights and process improvements. ESG data support and cross-functional involvement are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Investment domain knowledge across superannuation, asset management or investment management.
• Experience with fund structures and investment portfolios.
• Hands-on SQL capability and comfort with investment data.
• Exposure to ESG data and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support a broad range of investment and business process initiatives across Investments, Data and Technology.
• Analyse investment and portfolio data to inform decisions.
• Work with fund structures, investment products and portfolios across asset classes.
• Use SQL to interrogate, validate and analyse investment data.
• Engage with data platforms such as FactSet for data and market insights.
• Support ESG/ responsible investment data and reporting initiatives.
• Map current-state and future-state processes across investment workflows.
• Identify data issues, inefficiencies and opportunities to improve controls and reporting.
• Gather and translate business requirements with a broad perspective beyond a traditional BA.
• Facilitate workshops with Investment, Data, Technology and Operations stakeholders.
• Support data quality, governance and continuous improvement.
