Job summary

Platinum Pacific Partners is seeking an Investment Associate to join our Australian team, based in Sydney or Melbourne (preference for Sydney). You will support the assessment and execution of new investments in real assets across impact themes such as climate, housing and sustainability.

You will research market opportunities, perform due diligence, build and review financial models in Excel, draft investment committee papers, and assist with ongoing asset management, measurement and reporting

Qualifications

• 2-4 years experience in investment banking, project finance or infrastructure advisory.
• Exposure to infrastructure as a sector is preferred.
• Strong financial modelling skills and keen interest in impact investing.

We are working with a leading impact investment manager with a focus on investing sustainably and responsibly to create positive social and environmental impact. They focus on investing in real assets in Australia across impact themes of social infrastructure, housing, and sustainability, with a strong investment pipeline.

Our client is looking for an Investment Associate to join their team based in either Sydney or Melbourne (preference for Sydney as a location). They are looking for individuals who are passionate and values-aligned to join them in a high-growth business and industry that exists to create a better tomorrow. You will support the assessment and execution of new investments by researching and assessing market opportunities, conducting due diligence, building, reviewing, and maintaining financial models, and drafting investment committee papers and other transaction documents. You will also assist the investment team with the ongoing asset management, measurement and reporting of existing investments.

Ideally, you will have 2-4 years of experience across either investment banking, project finance or infrastructure advisory. You must have had some exposure to infrastructure as a sector. We will also consider candidates within investment banking without infrastructure experience if you have strong financial modelling skills and a keen interest in impact investing. Candidates will have good working knowledge of accounting and financing concepts, a detailed understanding of common valuation approaches and capital structures and should also be proficient in Excel modelling with financial analysis skills. You excel in stakeholder management, building trust, and influencing individuals at all levels. As a strategic thinker with excellent prioritisation skills, you will be a self-starter and be able to work independently. The successful candidate must also have a strong interest in impact investing, climate, or social justice.
