Job summary

Capital Executive Search is seeking an Associate for an Infrastructure specialization, focused on due diligence of global fund managers and co-investment opportunities. Job description

We're assisting a Superannuation fund to hire an Associate sitting within the Infrastructure specialisation. You'll lead due diligence on infrastructure funds globally (top branded global funds to local, boutique high performing funds) and co-investment opportunities globally, with occasional exposure to fund secondaries. This is not a direct deal / direct investing mandate — it's focused on evaluating and monitoring third-party funds and co-invest positions alongside them.

What you'll do:

• Lead due diligence on infrastructure fund managers and co-investment opportunities across global markets, this will include assisting active portfolios in assessing global assets across all types of infrastructure (Utilities, Energy Transition, Fibre Optics, Data Centres, Waste, GPU Networking, Transport) - core to core plus.
• Support secondaries transactions on an ad hoc basis where you will assess assets regarding risks, expected returns and assessing an appropriate discount.
• Build and maintain manager relationships, monitor portfolio performance for reporting purposes.
• Present investment recommendations to internal investment committees

What we're looking for:

• We need a minimum of 3 years experience having completed several (either) infrastructure co-investment or direct M&A transactions.
• Background in investment banking, asset consulting covering infrastructure, infrastructure funds management
• Strong financial and commercial analysis skills, comfortable with complex structures
• Ability to work across global markets and time zones
• Sydney based, or willing to relocate

Noting that this role is not involved in direct transactions where the analysis is built ground up. The deal work is more co-investment, where the 'heavy lifting' is completed by the GP.
