Job summary

Glencore Ravensworth Operations is seeking an Inventory Controller to drive stock accuracy and optimisation in a mining environment. You will manage ageing and surplus inventory, maintain bulk consumables, and coordinate stocktakes to ensure reliable maintenance and operations.

The role requires strong analytical skills, ERP experience (SAP MM/SAP S/4HANA) and a proactive approach to safety and data integrity within a high-demand warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in warehousing, logistics, supply chain, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy and integrity through effective inventory control practices.
• Proven capability in inventory optimisation including management of aged, obsolete, surplus, and slow-moving inventory.
• Experience with SAP Materials Management (MM), SAP S/4HANA, or similar ERP systems, plus strong Excel and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accuracy and optimise stock to support safe, reliable operations.
• Identify and manage aged, obsolete, and surplus inventory to reduce excess stock and recover value.
• Manage day-to-day bulk consumables to support maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate stocktakes, cycle counts, and audits, investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure inventory transactions are processed in SAP MM/SAP S/4HANA.
• Collaborate with maintenance, planning and operations to align inventory strategies.
• Identify opportunities to reduce working capital and maximise value from inventory investments.
