Job summary

1300 Temp Fence is seeking an Inventory & Logistics Administrator in Melbourne to manage day-to-day stock movements, accuracy and control across the business. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy, resolving discrepancies, coordinating stock transfers and freight, and supporting consumable stock management.

You will work across branches, liaise with suppliers and internal teams, and assist with inventory reporting and administration in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory, warehousing, logistics or stock control.
• Strong problem-solving skills and confidence investigating discrepancies.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
• Strong communication skills across branches, suppliers and internal teams.
• Experience using Cin7, Xero or similar systems would be highly regarded.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to jump in where needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accuracy across branches and systems.
• Assist with weekly and monthly stock reconciliations.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and follow issues through to resolution.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal branch teams regarding stock movements and deliveries.
• Create and manage purchase orders for consumables and operational stock.
• Support production scheduling and consumable stock management.
• Update inventory records and maintain data accuracy across systems.
• Assist with stock write-offs, reporting and general inventory administration.
• Support broader logistics coordination and operational reporting as required.
