Job summary

Kmart is seeking a Data / Business Analyst to join the Central Inventory & Optimisation team. You’ll link data, projects and operational decisions, focusing on inventory reporting, governance and commercial problem solving.

You’ll work with large data sets and across multiple stakeholder groups to translate questions into insights and actionable metrics, supporting S&OP and delivery across Merchandising and Supply Chain teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory, planning, or retail analytics.
• Ability to work with large data sets to identify trends, exceptions, and opportunities.
• Experience using Snowflake, SQL, Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including presenting to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support inventory and optimisation initiatives across Merchandising, Supply Chain, Planning, Distribution Centres, Finance and Technology teams.
• Translate business questions into data requirements, reports, analysis, and actionable insights.
• Maintain governance artefacts including status updates, risks, dependencies, milestones, and stakeholder communications.
• Produce and enhance inventory, forecast, compliance, and operational reporting using Snowflake, SQL, Excel, Power BI and planning tools.
• Monitor inventory compliance and operational performance, identify risks, trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Support S&OP processes by translating plans into clear operational reporting and execution metrics.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, presentations, and project updates for leadership.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a consistent view of inventory performance and progress.
