Job summary

Kmart Group in Australia is seeking a Data / Business Analyst to join the Central Inventory & Optimisation team. You will bridge data, projects and operational decision-making, turning complex data into clear insights to drive stock and performance.

You’ll work with Snowflake, SQL, Excel and Power BI across inventory, planning, and S&OP processes, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver governance artefacts and actionable reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory, planning, supply chain, or retail analytics.
• Strong analytical capability and ability to handle large data sets.
• Experience using Snowflake, SQL, Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Ability to work independently and drive insights.
• Experience coordinating projects and governance artefacts.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Curious mindset to challenge data and establish a single version of truth.
• Retail/inventory/supply chain experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supporting inventory and optimisation initiatives across Merchandise, Supply Chain, Planning, Distribution Centres, Finance, and Technology teams.
• Translating business questions into data requirements, reports, analysis, and insights.
• Maintaining project governance artefacts including status updates, risks, dependencies, milestones, and stakeholder communications.
• Producing inventory, forecast, compliance, and operational reporting using Snowflake, SQL, Excel, Power BI, and other tools.
• Monitoring inventory compliance measures and identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Supporting S&OP processes with clear operational reporting and metrics.
• Maintaining documentation, SOPs, presentations, and leadership updates.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure a consistent view of inventory performance and progress.
