Moreton Hire is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to join the Stock Control and Logistics team in Brisbane. The role focuses on managing a large, diverse hire inventory across exhibitions, events and temporary infrastructure, while transitioning to a new ERP platform.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, analysing data to identify discrepancies, and driving continuous improvements across warehousing, logistics and stock-control processes.
Moreton Hire is looking for an experienced Inventory Controller to join our Stock Control and Logistics team.
This is an important role within the business as we continue to improve how we manage a large, diverse hire inventory across exhibitions, events and temporary infrastructure, while also transitioning to a new ERP platform.
We are looking for someone who is highly capable with inventory, logistics, 3PL operations and data. This is not simply a stock-counting position. We want someone who can understand what the data is telling us, identify problems, improve processes and help build stronger inventory-control disciplines across the business.
For the right person, we are prepared to pay above-market remuneration.
Ideally, you will have experience across several of the following areas:
Strong Excel and data skills will be particularly valuable.
Experience participating in an ERP implementation or migration would be highly regarded.
We are looking for someone who is naturally analytical and likes getting to the bottom of problems.
If the system says there are 120 units in stock but only 106 can be found, we don't just want someone who changes the number to 106. We want someone who asks:
Where did the other 14 go? What process failed? How do we prevent it happening again?
You will need to be comfortable moving between the warehouse floor and the data. You'll understand that good inventory control depends on both strong systems and strong operational disciplines.
You will also need to communicate well with operational teams and be able to introduce better processes without creating unnecessary complexity.
This is an opportunity to join the business at an important point in the development of our operational systems.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute directly to our ERP transition and the future design of our inventory and stock-control processes, rather than simply inheriting an established system.
We are looking for high-calibre talent rather than the cheapest candidate and are prepared to offer above-market remuneration for someone with the right combination of inventory, logistics, 3PL and data capability.
