Job summary

Private Advertiser in Perth is seeking an Inventory Controller / Warehouse Operator to join our distribution team in Canning Vale. The role combines stock control with hands-on warehouse duties to ensure accuracy and timely order fulfilment.

Inventory Controller / Warehouse Operator

We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Controller / Warehouse Operator to join our distribution team based in Canning Vale. This role combines inventory management with hands‑on warehouse operations, ensuring stock accuracy, efficient order fulfilment and the smooth flow of products through our warehouse. As a key member of the operations team, you'll help maintain the high service standards and reliability our customers have come to expect.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts, cycle counts and stock reconciliations.

Receive, inspect and process incoming goods, ensuring products are correctly recorded and stored.

Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders accurately and efficiently.

Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks and scanning devices, in accordance with safety procedures.

Organise and maintain warehouse locations to maximise efficiency and accessibility.

Investigate and report stock discrepancies, damaged goods and inventory issues.

Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

Conduct quality checks before products leave the warehouse.

Follow workplace health and safety procedures and contribute to a safe, clean and organised workplace.

Support the wider warehouse team in achieving operational goals and maintaining high service standards.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

Has previous experience in a warehouse, distribution or logistics environment.

Has experience working with inventory management or warehouse management systems.

Is highly organised, detail-oriented and takes pride in accuracy.

Has strong computer skills and confidence with data entry and record keeping.

Communicates well and enjoys working as part of a team.

Is reliable, proactive and willing to take ownership of their responsibilities.

Demonstrates a strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Holds a current forklift licence or is willing to obtain one.

Experience within health products, nutraceuticals or pharmaceutical distribution will be highly regarded.
