Job summary

Early stage, supply chain career opportunity

Bermad (Australia) is the leading supplier of water technologies, custom-designed to meet clients’ requirements e.g. water flow control valves, data-recording & measuring meters, as well as operating protection and safety standards. Sustained demand has created an excellent opportunity for an aspiring inventory controller to improve accuracy and movement of inventory and stock, including imported and local supply of components through assembly process and finished goods distribution to Bermad’s national customer network Location: Thomastown.

Reporting to the Operations Coordinator, this is a hands-on role that requires expertise in demand forecast aggregation, ordering and logistics planning. You will conduct regular cycle counts, inventory audits and investigations of discrepancies on which basis to make recommendations for improvements e.g. stock takes, workflow, forecasting, facility layout. Your initiative and input will also be sought on various projects including network optimisation (Oracle ERP), monthly consumption models and new product launches.

Your analytical skills, methodical approach and process driven mindset will be relied upon by management to support efficient, cost-effective purchasing and supply strategies and decisions. Experience (3 yrs +) gained in a technical environment including custom-manufactured products is required. Ideally, you have a working knowledge of ERP (Oracle), Excel, Kanban and BOMs. A tertiary qualification in supply chain, logistics or engineering is anticipated.
