Macquarie University Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Angiography Unit, delivering expert cardiac care in a state-of-the-art environment. Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working in Cath Lab, Angiography and/or Cardiac nursing.
• Willingness to cross-train in roles such as Cath Lab Cardiac Technician.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to establish professional relationships with peers, patients and the multidisciplinary team.
• Well-developed computer skills including EMR systems, Word, Excel and web-based research.
• Demonstrated ability in assessing, planning and implementing preventative care approaches to healthcare.
• Proven ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating initiative and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert, evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing a range of cardiac and interventional procedures.
• Assist with diagnostic angiograms, PCI, pacemaker implants and structural heart disease interventions in a high-technology environment.
• Assess, plan and implement preventative and therapeutic care approaches for patients pre-, intra- and post-procedure.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiac technicians and the broader multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centred care.
• Mentor and support junior nursing staff and students, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice aligned with our academic mission.
• Cross-train in complementary roles such as Cath Lab Cardiac Technician once established within the unit.
