Job summary

Engineering People in Nunawading invites engineering students and recent graduates to join a structured internship designed as a first industry step. Gain hands-on experience in a real workshop, including welding skills, practical projects, and mentoring while contributing to live recruitment from day one.

You'll develop CV and LinkedIn, build industry connections, and undertake over 80 hours of intensive training in sales, communication and technical tasks.

Qualifications

• Be available for the Nunawading office commute (max 45 minutes).
• Availability of 2 days per week, 08:15–08:30 starts.
• Currently studying in penultimate or final year, or a recent graduate, in Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil engineering.
• Access to steel-capped safety boots & work pants.
• Comfortable with cold calling (training provided).

Job description

Looking for your first step into industry? We'd love to help you get there. This internship is designed for applicants who are ready to commence their first internship.

This role will commence late July to mid-October 2026 in our Nunawading office.

You will get hands on experience in a real workshop working with power tools ie welding skills, real interpersonal (EQ) skill development and ongoing mentoring. You will get the opportunity to contribute to live recruitment from day one, and speak to industry clients related to your discipline.

What can you gain

What are we looking for

• Be able to commute to our Nunawading office at a max of 45 minutes.
• Availability of 2 days per week, from 0815 for 0830 start to 1600 finish.
• Currently studying in your penultimate or final year, or a recent graduate, in one of the following disciplines: Mechatronics, Electrical/ Electronics, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil engineering.
• Access to steel-capped safety boots & work pants.
• Comfortable with cold calling (training will be provided) but you still must be willing to give it a go.
