Job description

Are you wanting to work for an organisation that values their people, invests in communities and has a commitment to our environment? Do you share a passion for maintaining a continual focus on Making a Difference with Real Care to customers and employees? If this sounds like you, then we have your next opportunity.

At O'Brien®, we’re transforming our business — and communication plays a critical role in helping our people understand where we’re heading, why it matters and how they are part of the journey.

We’re looking for an experienced Internal Communications Lead who can partner confidently with senior leaders while staying closely connected to frontline teams. This role needs someone who can move easily between Executive conversations, Frontline leader priorities and day-to-day messaging for our people.

You’ll help bring our vision, transformation agenda, culture and growth plans to life through clear, engaging and practical communication. You’ll shape messages, support leaders to tell stories, create content that cuts through, and help our people feel informed, connected and engaged.

This is a great opportunity for a communications professional with strong judgement, excellent writing skills, stakeholder confidence and a hands‑on approach.

Why Join O'Brien?

At O’Brien, our people are at the centre of everything we do. As we continue to evolve and grow, we’re building a communication experience that is:

  • Leader-led
  • People-centred
  • Digitally enabled
  • Insight-driven

You’ll work with leaders across the business — from the Executive Leadership Team and Support Office teams through to frontline leaders and field‑based team members — to deliver communication that is clear, useful and connected to what matters most.

You'll bring:

  • 3+ years' experience in internal communications, corporate communications, change communications or employee communications.
  • Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
  • Experience supporting business change, transformation or organisation-wide initiatives.
  • Confidence partnering with Executives, senior leaders and providing communication advice.
  • Experience communicating with frontline, field-based or operational teams.
  • Ability to translate complex information into simple, practical and engaging communication.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships across different levels of the business.
  • Experience creating content across digital channels including SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, email, video, social media and intranet platforms.
  • A proactive, flexible and hands‑on approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ready to Make an Impact?

If you're an experienced communications professional who thrives on storytelling, stakeholder engagement, employee experience, digital communications and driving meaningful organisational connection, we'd love to hear from you.

At O'Brien®, we put our customer at the heart of everything that we do, serving more than 360,000 Customers each year, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. O'Brien is also part of Belron®, worldwide leader in vehicle glass repair, replacement and recalibration services, operating in 40 countries across 6 continents
