Sunshine Coast Council is offering multiple paid internships under the My Summer Workplace program for tertiary students and recent graduates. The role runs 23 November 2026 – 12 February 2027, 28 hours per week over 4 days, at locations Maroochydore and Caloundra.
The 12-week internship begins in November 2026 with a 2-week unpaid Christmas break. You will gain exposure to civil construction projects from planning through delivery while being mentored by industry professionals.

Paid opportunity for tertiary students and recent university or TAFE Diploma graduatesAre you currently studying, or have recently graduated and needing to gain experience within the industry? My Summer Workplace is a 12-week paid internship program with Sunshine Coast Council that will equip you with the skills, opportunities, networks and confidence you need to step into your chosen career.
Commencing in November 2026 and concluding February 2027, you will need to be available to work four days per week for this 12-week period. Note - There will be a 2-week unpaid break over the Christmas period.

Interning with Sunshine Coast Council will provide you with incredible exposure to a medium-large sized organisation which comprises of over 20 functional areas and spans many industries.
