Job summary

Visy Global Logistics in Australia is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead our Intermodal transport operation from Yennora. You will coordinate drivers, oversee container movements, optimise fleet utilisation and ensure freight is delivered safely, efficiently and on time.

You'll report to the Operations Manager and work with customers, ports, rail providers and internal teams to meet customer expectations and drive continuous improvement across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising operations in transport/logistics.
• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and NHVR.
• Proven ability to lead drivers and operational teams in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support drivers and operational staff daily.
• Coordinate fleet movements, load planning and resource allocation.
• Manage container inventory and oversee container park activities.
• Monitor wharf, rail and customer requirements to meet service commitments.
• Optimise fleet utilisation balancing safety, service and cost.
• Proactively communicate operational updates to customers.
• Ensure compliance with CoR and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records and transport documentation.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues quickly.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency.
