Job summary

Visy Global Logistics in Penrith is seeking an experienced Afternoon Shift Supervisor to lead our glass transport operation. You will oversee drivers and operational staff, coordinate with production, customer service and site stakeholders, and ensure resources are used safely, efficiently and in line with customer requirements.

Reporting to the NSW State Logistics Manager, you will drive safety, CoR/NHVR compliance and KPI performance while delivering accurate records and smooth shift handovers

Qualifications

• Leadership experience within transport, logistics, warehousing or distribution environments.
• Strong understanding of transport operations and fleet coordination.
• Knowledge of CoR, NHVR and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop frontline teams.
• Strong customer service focus and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the afternoon shift transport operation.
• Manage driver and resource allocation to maximise operational efficiency.
• Ensure freight movements are completed safely, on time and in line with customer requirements.
• Maintain compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVR and workplace safety standards.
• Drive operational performance against key service and productivity KPIs.
• Monitor team performance, coaching and developing employees to achieve their potential.
• Investigate service failures, incidents and operational issues, implementing corrective actions where required.
• Work closely with production, customer service and warehouse teams to coordinate daily requirements and urgent requests.
• Ensure accurate operational records, reporting and administrative processes are maintained.
• Deliver effective shift handovers to ensure seamless operation across shifts.
