Job summary

Suncorp is seeking an experienced Underwriter – Strata for its Sydney team. In this role, you will manage a Strata portfolio, underwriting new business, renewals, and policy adjustments, while partnering with brokers and internal stakeholders to drive profitable portfolio growth.

You will apply strong risk assessment and underwriting judgment, building durable broker relationships and delivering tailored solutions.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience in Strata underwriting.
• Strong technical underwriting capability to assess risk and make sound commercial decisions.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong broker and stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent negotiation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a commercially focused mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy and service.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across multiple business functions.
• Knowledge of insurance market trends, underwriting principles, and risk management practices.

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and commercially minded Underwriter to join Vero’s Specialty Lines Strata team.

In this role, you'll manage and underwrite a portfolio of Strata business, including new business, renewals, and policy adjustments, while supporting profitable portfolio growth. Working closely with brokers, customers, and internal stakeholders, you'll build strong relationships, deliver tailored insurance solutions, and contribute to the successful execution of Vero’s Specialty Lines Strata strategy.

What You’ll Be Doing
